BEER-SHEVA, ISRAEL, June 7, 2010 -- A new survey of thousands of Israeli students reveals that they consider Ben-Gurion University of the Negev to be the best university overall in Israel.
The comprehensive research survey was conducted by the Research Department of the National Union of Israeli Students and included thousands of participants currently studying at the country’s universities and colleges. Students were asked to rate Israeli universities based on academic quality, welfare services and level of pride and satisfaction in and recommendations of the institutions in which they are studying.
BGU received the highest overall ratings out of all Israeli universities and colleges, including a 4.32 out of five in the general category-- the only university to rank above a 4 in this area. BGU also ranked first in the general welfare category.
This marks the first nationwide survey of students showing a comparative picture of the biggest universities and academic colleges in Israel.
