In 2010 the Jewish festival of Lag B’Omer falls on Sunday, May 2. Among the Jews of North Africa, particularly Tunisia, Lag B’Omer is a festive day celebrating the spring and a time to pay homage to prominent Jewish scholars famous in North African Jewish history.
